Mary appeared to St. Bernadette on February 11, 1858 in Lourdes, France. Our Lady promoted her Immaculate Conception to the poor, unlearned, simple girl through apparitions over the next few months. Lourdes is now a major Catholic pilgrimage site where people experience growth in faith and miracles of body and soul. 

This platter is designed to mimic blue and white vintage dinnerware known as chintzware and transferware, on which patterns are applied by transferring them from a copper plate, to paper, to ceramics.
